Leo Recruitment uses synergistic head hunting techniques to match candidates and clients. In addition to the typical recruitment practices we also uses in-house developed proprietary tools and systems to identify and find potential matches.  Other innovations include the use of social media and personal networks to broaden this net even further resulting high quality placements and satisfied clients and candidates.

In-Depth Analysis

We spend a significant amount of time on analysis. We understand both sides of the relationship, especially matching client and candidate "values". This is a fundamental mistake made by most agencies as they apply a shotgun approach without proper screening and analysis. Mismatched "values" are the primary cause of failed placements.

Key Strengths

Our key strength is that we use personal and far-reaching networks to identify suitable candidates. Some of our relationships go back over 10 years which enables us to optimise the "value" match between client and candidate. Our focus is on building long-term relationships, not making quick placements.

Candidate Selection

Leo Recruitment uses many different processes in order for us to select suitable candidates.  This selection of candidates includes profiling tools, psychometric testing tools as well as personal referrals from within our own networks.  In-depth knowledge and working experience within the industries we target, leads to a non-shotgun approach.

Active vs. Passive

There are two types of potential candidates, Active and Passive.

Active candidates are proactively looking for a new role, responding to advertisements and registering with agencies. Typically 1 in 5 potential candidates, or 15-20% of the talent pool are actively looking at any one time.


Passive candidates are people who could be open to a new opportunity but are not proactively seeking to leave their current employers. These candidates make up the remaining 80% of the candidate talent pool and tend to be the most successful, often being too busy to apply for other positions.

Candidate Representation

There are many occasions where we are requested to Represent Candidates when they are in the process of making career changes. These are usually senior executive people who we connect with specific companies and positions

One of our other strengths is working with companies to provide hands on support and consulting services in terms of understanding how the client and company's value systems match.
