Tips for Submitting a Resume through E-Mail

Your e-mail subject should be short and it should indicate that you are applying for a job vacancy. The best way to go is to use the job title or job code placed in the advert to make sure that no one mistakes your e-mail for spam and deletes it.
Instead of sending your resume as an attached file, place it in the body of your e-mail. Someone who has to look through volumes of job applications does not have the time to open an attachment. Having your resume ready to read will be greatly appreciated. Just make sure that it is formatted for e-mail. Send it to yourself first to make sure that it is readable and looks good.
Finally, remember that you have to include a cover letter in your e-mail. This cannot be one or two sentences only. You have to make a carefully constructed letter that formally introduces yourself. Make sure to provide information on job experiences related to the position you are applying for.
